Delivery

Delivery costs vary by weight and this is intended as a guide to those charges.

More precise delivery details are available once your selection has been made (taking into account combined individual product weight) and you will be able to view these in the checkout area of the web site.

Delivery times to UK addresses

Please note: Orders placed before 12 noon on a working day are normally sent out that day, orders placed after 12 noon are normally sent out the next working day, which allows us to process the order in the shop.

When purchasing your products you will be given the choice of 2 different delivery methods:

1) Standard delivery typically takes 1 - 5 working days from when the order was placed.
2) Express delivery is for those urgent items. For orders received before 11am, this is a one day service to most of the UK*.

*Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands & Islands, Northern Ireland, Guernsey, Jersey & Isle of Man may take a day or 2 longer.

See delivery page for more informations and cost / weight guide.

International delivery

Postage methods

We use the Royal Mail postage service.  Depending upon your location, we will either use International Airsure or Internationally signed for.  The postage method available to your country will be shown in postage options when you proceed to checkout.

Delivery times:  below is the guidance given by the Royal Mail service and whilst we would expect this to be accurate we cannot guarantee these delivery times.

Airsure:  3 - 7 working days depending on location

Internationally signed for (Airmail): 6 - 12 working days depending on location

International weight and dimensions

There are weight and dimension restrictions on International post sent through the Royal Mail service.
2kg is the maximum weight. No single side must be longer than 60cm, whilst the length plus depth plus width must not exceed 90cm.

If your product falls outside of these dimensions, we will have a look at alternative postage methods and will contact you via email with a quote. You can either accept the postage charge or cancel your order.

Import Duty (World delivery outside EU)

If your location is outside of Europe, or you are a non EU area you may be subject to some import duty. This could be charged once the goods come into your country and will depend upon the type of goods and value.  It is very difficult for us to estimate how much this will be as it varies country to country. This is usually payable via your local post-office and can sometimes be paid on the web.

Returns
If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, return it to us within 14 days of receipt in new condition*, with the original packaging, labelling and returns form for a full refund (of the goods cost).

If you need a replacement product, simply order this on-line as a new purchase.

Cancellation of Order
The above returns period includes a 7 working day cancellation period from the day after delivery to you. You are able to cancel orders by emailing alpineroomshop@aol.com. If you cancel your order after shipping has taken place, you are responsible for the return, cost of returning and taking reasonable care of the goods whilst in your possession. Please see information about returning goods - below.

Returning goods
Please return goods to us within 14 days of receiving them. We would advise that you send the goods with the appropriate amount of compensation added (i.e. to cover the cost of the goods), as the Alpine Room cannot accept any responsibility for items lost in the post. Postal charges are the responsibility of the customer. The refund will be processed only once we have received the goods.

Returns should be marked for the attention of:

Mail Order Department,
The Alpine Room,
71 / 73 Main Road,
Danbury,
Essex,
CM3 4DJ
United Kingdom

You will need to fill in a returns form (supplied in your original package) to enable us to refund your money.

To ensure the item is adequately protected during transit, you may need to use paper or bubble-wrap to protect the item and packaging.

* Condition of goods
Any item returned must be in new and re-sellable condition (clean and not worn or used, without odour) with the original packaging and with labels intact. If the goods returned are not in a re-sellable condition we will not be able to refund your money and you will need to pay for carriage for the goods to be returned to you.

Faulty goods
Faulty goods, to return please contact us first by emailing alpineroomshop@aol.com. Please note that the final decision as to whether the goods are faulty rests with the manufacturer. If the goods are accepted as faulty then you will be offered a refund or the goods can be repaired or replaced and we will refund your postage within the UK to a reasonable amount.   In cases where we need to return the product to the manufacturer to establish whether faulty, this can sometimes take some time whilst we wait for their response.
